VARICOLOURED HORSES
A new collection of pieces I started working on using varied colors and patterns to explore and play with something new for me.
What started this series?
A few years ago I started an exercise where I draw random shapes and adding patterns inside, seeing what results would come of it. Then I got the idea to draw animals with these random shapes and patterns. As for adding color, the medium I chose was watercolor brush pens. I had two sets that I didn't know what to do with, the colors are very vivid and didn't fit with the other works that I did. So this was a way to explore a different medium and a different way to draw horses (and other animals in the future). This is basically just me exploring and playing with art in a way I hadn't either tried or thought of.
These pieces feel more authentic to me and my art journey. I love the vivid colors, the various patterns that aren't always seen together.
